Saturday Skills

Our ever-popular Saturday Skills programme focuses on individual development in dribbling, passing, shooting, defence and teamwork, catering for all abilities and experience levels.

 

Sessions are run with four coaches and a maximum of 40 children in each session where children are divided into groups based on their level of experience and skill.

Skill: Passing

Week 1: - Learn proper passing technique, all types of passes and when to use each pass

Week 6: - Advanced passing drills, outlet drill, 3-man weave

 

Skill: Dribbling

Week 2: – Learn proper dribbling techniques, ball handling and rules

Week 7: – Advanced dribbling drills, cross overs, dribble king, dribble course.

 

Skill: Shooting/Lay ups

Week 3: – Learn proper shooting technique, hand placement, footwork and flow.

Week 8: – Advanced shooting drills, shooting competitions, shooting games

 

Skill: Defence

Week 4: - Learn proper defence technique, sliding, positioning and team defence.

 

Skill: Games Week

Week 5: – Applying skills learned from week 1 to 4 – 3 on 3, 5 on 5 games

Week 9: - Applying skills learned from week 1 to 8 – 3 on 3, 5 on 5 games
